Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to work with animals. Even then, I gave imaginary vaccines to my extensive stuffed animal collection. My "calling" came true when I moved from Germany to the U.S. and started working in a small animal practice in Santa Maria. I worked there for over 12 years, mainly as a veterinary technician, but was trained to fill in wherever needed. After graduating from Allan Hancock College, which I attended while working in Santa Maria, I enrolled into Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science with a minor in Equine Science. Several years ago I moved to Paso Robles, replacing my childhood collection of stuffed animals with two horses, two dogs, a cat, 5 chickens and an assortment of scaled critters...and a very understanding husband!
